Martine The stark reality is that Thamesfield Ward will be nearly 60 places short of the necessary Primary School places in the next year or so. There are two choices. We build a new two form entry, non-sectarian primary school and we have that chance with the Putney Hospital site OR we cram more and more children into the existing schools, Hotham and Brandlehow. There is a third choice we allocate places in other parts of the borough The site is not big enough for a Secondary School and places are available at other schools. Elliott is improving day by day and we have all rejoiced at the success of some of their students musically. I can assure you that we have examined all the needs, the possible alternatives and they all come down in favour of a new primary school. |
