Just heard on the Today Programme someone speculating that when flying resumes they'll suspend night restrictions and allow 24 hour flying to get things back to "normal". I have a feeling the government wants more night flights anyway.

And on yesterday's Today Adonis was asked if the government might bail out the aviation industry with taxpayers' cash just as they did the banks. Can you imagine, being directly taxed to pay for our aural hell? Well, yes I can.

I'm sure they'll find some way of punishing us for these few days of heaven.
