I don't know where you live in Thamesfield, but there is growing unease around the animal hospital about the weapon dogs being taken there for treatment. & I thank the residents of Clarendon Drive, Gamlen Road and Chelverton Road who wrote to the council about this recently when they sent in their objections to the recent planning application. When we first came to live here, the dogs that were taken there were usually family type dogs, now that has changed and last week we had an unmuzzled pitbill being walked down the middle of the road, presumably to keep it away from pedestrians. The RSPCA have stated that their 4 UK animal hospitals are full to the brim with weapon dogs. It will be interesting to see if the new dog control orders will have any effect, particularly regarding the dogs arriving at the hospital. |
