Richard; what makes you think Labour are going to change their position on the 3rd runway? Do you honestly believe this government cares a fig about us, our environment, our health or the EU legislation and the fines that will be imposed on us because of emmissions non-compliance? Incredibly, you claim Tony Colman halved night flights over our area. Since when was Tony Colman Minister for Transport? He may have lobbeyed on our behalf but that was the limit of his power. You must be from some sort of a parallel universe if you think Stuart King "clarifying" his website statement on the 3rd runway will change Labour policy. Tony Colman's political undoing has been said to be his abstention from support of the Labour government in the vote for the invasion of Iraq. It was reported at the time that as a result, the Labour party didn't give him the support he needed at the last general election. With his opposition to the Labour party line, shouldn't Stuart King be reconsidering his political career over the foremost national policy affecting his prospective constituents or are Labour so desperate that they have had to select an opposition candidate.
