Quoting from the report (link in my other post in this thread, or this direct link to the PDF: http://www.wandsworth.gov.uk/moderngov/mgConvert2PDF.aspx?ID=10250 ):
"Accident Analysis.
A review of the road traffic accident casualty statistics show there have been 12 personal injury accidents in the study area in the three years to August 2009.
"Of the 12 accidents, 2 were classified as serious and 10 were slight and resulted in a total of 14 casualties. 10 of the 12 accidents occurred at road junctions. One of the 2 serious casualties resulted when a vehicle driver lost  control at the junction of Briar Walk and Upper Richmond Road. The other was caused by a vehicle driver travelling at speed hitting a pedestrian crossing the road at the junction of Cortis Road and Cortis Terrace."

This is perhaps small compared to other areas (I don't know), but perceived safety is also important, and slower cars help.

I will vote yes, even though I'd rather speed humps weren't required (the Department for Transport requires them on certain roads when a 20mph limit is introduced).
