I still don't understand why when Erpingham is 20mph, drivers can turn into the even more densely residential streets either side and speed up to 30mph legally. It's a crazy system and the sooner 20mph is introduced on residential streets in Putney, the better.

It will improve things for everyone living there. I'm lucky enough to live in a 20mph residential street and there's hardly any traffic noise when vehicles keep to the limit - you only hear the ones which are speeding. We can happily stand outside our house and have a chat with neighbours across the street without fear that we'll be interrupted by speeding cars every few minutes. Parents also allow their kids out to play on bikes and skateboards etc which I rarely see in faster roads. It's an absolute pleasure!
