Francis, Residents have tried to deal with the RSPCA in a reasonable manner. The resident who lived directly opposite them for 50 years until his death got nowhere by contacting them, we contacted them regarding the collection of animal carcasses outside our bedroom window at 3.00 am and got nowhere and another resident has contacted them recently about the noisy entryphone system and got nowhere too (we were about to contact the council about this problem but then this planning application came up.} I have a copy of a letter from Councillor Peter Bingle, dated 15 March 1985 to a resident, this is part of it: "I have been informed that in the past when this issue has been raised the RSPCA has not been over-helpful but I am in full agreement with you that local residents should not be made to suffer or endure the present deporable conditions." Nearly 25 years on and nothing has changed. Exactly what should residents be compromising on? Peace and quiet to which we have the right under the Human Rights Act? |
