Gail's post probably sums up the difference in the way we look at the animal hospital. In her view, buying a home near an animal hospital we must expect pets, cars, noise, etc. I assume that Gail (and please correct me if I am wrong Gail) sees an animal hospital as being the same as a hospital for humans. And if we had bought our home next to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, I would agree with her. However the RSPCA is a private organisation, it is not the same as a hospital for humans. They chose to set themselves up in a residential area and have no exemptions from the laws of public nuisance or more importantly Human Rights Law. They cannot cause noise or nuisance that disturbs the residents. |
