It seems my Uber comment has given some a handy distraction from the real issue here.
Which is the intention to build new council housing for those currently rrsiding in hotels having arrived here illegally.
The Govt talk of smashing the gangs but surely this policy will give the gangs new advertising impetus
'Let us get you to the UK where they will welcome you with a brand new home'
Put yourself in the shoes of the exusting council or private tenant living in overcrowded or unfit accomodation. Or the ex squaddie looking for a new home for him and his family, the homeless on our streets or in temporary accomodation. Do you think its fair on them ?
