Hi Matt - lovely to hear from you. I wonder does so many collections actually encourage the reduction of food waste or are people already much more frugal to start with? We're supposedly a rich nation here and throw away a lot - yet we have a growing divide between rich and poor. Are children taught cookery at school? Too many parents here don't/can't cook anything from scratch so can't/don't/won't teach their children. Is there a lot of fish eaten and fish waste because that is notoriously smelly and somewhere in the US people actually froze their prawn heads and tails etc before bin collection day to avoid dead fish smells? How differently do you eat/shop? |
