Adam,

I fully agree.  Whilst I am not a big fan of the Council and their traffic control policies (e.g. the pay & display discount card that can only be used if you already have a permit - I mean what is the bloody use in that!  Total waste of our council tax!!), I am glad that the shared zones are been petered out.  As a Zone 1 resident it's hard enough trying to find a parking space anywhere near my flat without people from other zones (within walking distance) "popping to the shops".  I find myself little solution other than to park on a yellow line in the evenings and having to get up an unearthly hour to move my car or risk even more fines!!

I do however have great sympathly for those of you that have been fined as a result of the councils "dirty tricks", I hope you can get them overturned.
