| I live in the A2 parking zone. Last month I received a parking ticket for parking in Deodar Road (just off Putney Bridge Road). It seems that, two days before receiving the ticket, Deodar Road changed from being zones A1 and A2 to being solely zone A1. It was legal for me to park in Deodar Road four days before receiving the parking ticket but not legal thereafter. As a resident, I wasn't told the zones were going to change. I've spoken to my neighbours and they weren't notified either. In fact, the only difference in the parking signs on Deodar Road is the absence of two small letters - 'A2'. I'm now appealing a £100 fine. To add insult to injury, on the day I received my ticket, the parking zone map on the council's own website didn't even reflect the change in parking zones. Does anyone else have a similar experience? If a resident of zones A1 or A2, did you receive notice of the change in parking privileges? Were you even consulted? |
