A fair point, Lucille, but if MPs are meant to vote in line with their constituency’s referendum vote, then a large number of them would end up getting kicked out. I’m genuinely intrigued as to what would happen if we had a second referendum and it resulted in a vote against against the government’s proposed deal. Would we have to keep on having referenda until we got an overwhelming decision either way? Either way, it’s one almighty mess! |
