| Lot of nonsense here, the service provided by our libraries, whilst very good, is easy to define and thus easy to outsource without any reduction in service levels - and if someone wants to do it cheaper than the council, why on earth not let them do it and see either a reduction in council tax or the savings spent on other services. Librarians are not doctors. Borrowing books is not like getting an operation. Some people seem to be against outsourcing for ideological rather than practical reasons. I am a regular library user. |
