| I think it would be a bad, sad day for Wandsworth, if running the libraries were outsourced to a profit-making enterprise. This is a matter on which one would expect the Council to consult residents - and spell out what savings were expected and over what period. How could a company replicate the dedication, professionalism and public-service ethos of the library staff AND make money AND cut costs to the borough? |
