| Here are some quotes from the current Home Office consultation "Policing in the 21st Century: reconnecting police and the people". In her foreword Theresa May the Home Secretary writes: "... accessible 'street level'crime data will shine a light on local crime trends and concerns". And from the body of the consultation: "2.34. From January 2011, we will ensure that crime data is published at a level which allows the public to see what is happening on their streets and neighbourhoods". So perhaps will have to wait until next year. Doesn't make sense does it? |
