OK, we all understand and accept that public spending is under the cosh and that civil departments have targets to meet...and the police are no exception. That said, if my bins aren't emptied on a Saturday morning (once in a while) it's no big deal in the scheme of things...ditto the street cleaning etc. However, public safety is paramount to every last citizen and quite frankly Wandsworth Robbery Squad we do want to know about carjacking and the like. We would actually like to know how safe our houses and streets are, so tell us, warts an' all! Please don't shelter behind data protection to disguise your shortcomings. I see loads of police cars both marked and unmarked roaring around SW15 sirens wailing but I still don't see too many coppers on the beat....and I don't count those toothless SNTs! See loads of traffic wardens with plently of chutzpah thought. |
