Alan, the only report I've seen so far is ohttp://cjag.org/2010/01/29/planning-consultation-only-1-week-to-submit-your-view/n a link of the Clapham Junction Action Group.
I was at the meeting, which was packed, as the matter is of great interest. However, as was pointed out by the audience, it is extremely difficult for the general public to get to grips with the bulky planning documents we are supposed to comment on, particularly in the very short time frame allowed. We now have until 16 February to submit comments.

Please do so, you may send your views by email or letter, as well as via the unwieldy website.

The single prime concern, I thought, for the audience, was our strong opposition to tall buildings, for which we understand any increase in height of what is already there - I refer to the URR here.
Dismay was also expressed at the fact that a 21-storey tower at Osiers Road by the river has just got planning permission on 7 January, with a minimum of consultation and rather against the spirit of the planning policy that is being formulated at the moment. However, until 2012 the new planning strategy will not apply, so while technically not out of order, it is a deplorable decision.

We missed our ward councillors, who were unaccountably absent, but were encouraged to see at the meeting our MP, Justine Greening, and the Labour and Lib-Dem prospective parliamentary candidates.
