| Greater utilisation of the river is always good to see. I think that before the boat becomes a real alternative to the train or tube as a commuter service, they need faster boats and more than two services per day (leaving Putney). I'd like to see Putney pier used a great deal more for leisure services also. Hampton Court, Kingston, Kew, and Richmond are all serviced by leisure boats to Westminster - they should be stopping at Putney as well. The river is a terrific natural resource and Putney doesn't seem to be making the most of it. |
