| Following discussions over the past few months it has been possible to secure a new stop by the River Taxi service at Wandsworth Riverside Quarter. The service is as follows: Putney Pier (departs) 06.20 and 07.30 (existing service) Wandsworth Riverside Quarter (departs) 06.25 and 07.35 The boat stops at Chelsea Harbour, Cheyne Walk, Embankment and Blackfriars. It takes around 50 minutes to Blackfriars from Putney Pier. There are three return boats from Blackfriars at 17.10, 18.20 and 19.10 all stopping at WRQ at 17.45, 19.05 and 19.45 respectively then at Putney 5 minutes later. The boat stops at Embankment about 5 minutes after leaving Blackfriars. The WRQ service will be accessible to those living further east of the High Street or in East Putney. The service will start at WRQ from this coming Wednesday. To guarantee the service at WRQ at low tide there is a need to carry out some additional dredging. Details of this will be advertised on the pier. A discount of one third applies for travel cards and Oyster card holders. Bicycles are carried free of charge.
