| Small technical point, Mr Hawkes, there are no penguins in Greenland. In fact there are very few north of Antarctica, just the southern tips of New Zealand and South Africa, plus, rather uniquely, the Galápagos Islands on the equator. You probably meant puffins. Trump wants sovereignty over Greenland so the US can take all its mineral wealth for itself. Its defence needs could be meant by beefing up the bases it already has on Greenland. Imperialism or what? And a NATO ally too. In my view totally unjustifiable and reprehensible but nowadays only might is right, it seems. |
