At a Putney Society meeting last year I witnessed a member of the Society call Nick Cuff "a liar" to his face. I quoted Cuff a BBC interview with the Deputy Mayor for Police, Kit Malthouse:

"The planning process isn't democratic. The planning system is more often than not stitched up between developers and planning officers."  Kit Malthouse

This could not be more true than of Wandsworth Council where officers and developers are consistently stitchng up the planning system and residents.  FACT.  Your Councillors are in on it too.

We will continue to be royally stitched up until the Conservatives Party and the lifers in Borough Planning are removed from Town Hall.  We have an arrogant, dishonest, unaccountable, conceipted and thoroughly incompetent Borough Planner (collective term).  Worse still, your elected councillors are in on the stitch up, either through design or ignorance.  Their silence over Putney Hospital's invalid application and the Borough Planner's (collective term) disgraceful attempt at a cover-up speaks volumes about the workings of this regime and who has control over who.  In all my years in the communications industry I have never witnessed anything like the extraordinary rank pulling, arse covering and disingenuous propaganda that is the norm at Wandsworth.

This is a 34 year old regime employing people who have little or no experience of working in the private sector, perhaps no experience of working at other councils.  The only way they know is the Wandsworth way and they are more determined than ever to protect their jobs and their council fiefdoms than to dig deep for their professional principles to defend residents interests.  Nobody of significance and influence at Town Hall is genuinely representing the interests of ordinary residents.  What I find really astonishing is just prepared this Council is to s**t on existing residents, many of whom were life-long Conservative voters.  And I say 'were' Conservative voters.

The only way to change this disgraceful status quo is through the ballot box.  More and more life-long Conservative voters will have to do the right thing by their fellow citizens and forego the cheapest Council tax in the country so we can sort out Town Hall.
