The construction industry is on its knees apparently and yet the Berkeley Group (St. James and St Georges) which develops in and around London only have announced staggeringly good end of year results. They have quadrupled profits in just 2 years.  Their land bank is worth billions.   Their share value is now well over £12. Wandsworth has done much to swell these profits.  See the high rise developments all along the river to Nine Elms, across Roehampton and in Putney.

If anyone has gone through a planning consultation process with Wandsworth Council you will appreciate that objecting is futile.  If you bother as I have over the last 14 months to submit evidence on the maladministration of Wandsworth's Borough Planner (collective term) to the Local Government Ombudsman you will also appreciate what a total waste of time that is too.
