Is there a number or address you can give us ? Who do we speak to ( Name please ?) I really hope this is not a case of: 1) Slap a few tiles onto old paint (as appears to be what is happening now which is surely a little early ?) 2) Putting in a lift into a current location that really should be recessed to sit over the railway line or better still a completely new access closer to the tube - thus wasting cash on a lift 3) Mucking up traffic outside the station Putney really needs to think big here - there is massive space above the railway lines leading in and out of Putney and Fulham Broadway has the perfect working solution that we can copy. I think even Clapham Junction is taking a similar approach to utilise space above the railway line. ( does anyone know who owns this 'fresh air' - Network rail ?) I really hope the correct infrastructure build is planned and £5000 is not wasted on steps 3 above which will be very easy to implement !!! As an aside the reason the pavement outside the station is so full is because the shops at the exit display on this - these shops should all be access points to the station. The primary function of the station is access to trains, NOT to buy last minute goodies on the way in and out. Nice to have if the station is massive and space is in abundance but this is now not the case ! ( I am sure a new home in a nice new build above the railway lines will accomodate all these vendors ?)
