There will be financial contributions relating to improvements such as station entrances, pavements, bus shelters etc but no money given to the Council will lengthen the trains as this is not within their control to do so. The developers claim that improvements to the tube will come in 2013. The developers of the old Capsticks and Carlton Court site state that their 104 flats will increase overall peak capacity on the tube by 3 in the morning and will generate 25 less trips in the evening compared to when Capsticks was occupied. This does not mention that the Capsticks staff were travelling into Putney in the morning and out of Putney in the evening so not adding to the platform congestion and up the line impact. Their transport assessments can all be seen on the Council website( planning), search the application numbers and the transport part of their application and email your comments. Putney Place developers will also give the Council monies in compensation for adding to the shortage of primary school places within 2 mile radius of the site. They tell us there is overcapacity of secondary school places too. So the Council will get money as compensation on top of the £8000 per flat but where will it go and will it generate more room on platforms and trains, new shcools.... |
