I have mentioned previously that it seems like the PAC have become more cosy with developers. You can see this as for example the likes of Councillor Nick Cuff (Planning Chairman) attending dinners/events like the following {http://www.bpf.org.uk/en/events/event/BPF_Residential_Dinner_and_Conference.php} The reports made by the developers on the transport infrastructure are also a sham. I doubt any of these planners have ever had to use the tube or overground in the rush hours. With the near 1000 flats being built over the next few years it will be just unbearable to commute. The local schools have massive waiting lists so where will they send their children? Maybe as mostly the new flats are 1 or 2 bed with a few 3 bed penthouses they wont be able to stay in Putney! Were the PAC approvers of the proposal the same that gave the Tileman House application the go-ahead? Why do they just ignore locals views and even their MP's. |
