Hi Martine !

Under the 'Sale of Goods Act' 1979 - Goods must be of 'Merchantable Quality' & 'fit for the purpose they were intended for' ! The Office of Fair Trading publishes useful information/leaflets ! Your local Trading Standards Office should be able to advise you on this matter of your purchase of 'Faulty Goods' !
