I found a "Safer Adult Cycling" leaflet on the pavement this morning. Produced by Thamesfield SNT. The text on the front reads:- " You have committed a cycling offence. Your actions could cause danger to yourself or other road users. Please consider the impact your behaviour is having on other members of the public. By obeying road signage you significantly reduce the risk of being involved in a collision. A record of your details will be taken and recorded on the police indicies. " So, I'm guessing it's a warning and a second offence will show up as being previously warned and so should result in a fine. The leaflet also includes lots of good advice on the law, what else you can do to make your cycling safer, etc. Great work. |
