I am sorry Richard but the information you posted today at 8am is not only illogical but misleading. The readings were taken from 3 September 2018 (when traffic was already restricted) till 10 April 2019 when the bridge was closed. Then from 11 April to 12 July 2019 when the bridge continued to be closed. The traffic count over Hammersmith Bridge in 2018, amounting to 25,000 vehicles, was a manual count but no dates provided. So, from 3 September 2018 all other locations had automatic traffic counters... But Hammersmith Bridge was not closed then. In addition, you say that many drivers prior the closure of the bridge now use alternative transport or stay at home. Hmmmm, stay at home? You mean all those inconvenient disabled people who need their cars are now staying at home looking out of the window? To add insult to injury, TfL has cut the number of buses running. A question for you. It is important to note there is a rather important hospital on the Fulham side of the bridge. With no bridge, obviously, other hospitals must be used. That obviously is a truly unimportant consideration when saving lives are concerned. |
