"people at the margin" We see this attitude with many entitled XR supporters. Taxation and good public transport should be used as an incentive for all, as they do in many European countries. Not specifically targeting those less well off. The elastic theory from what I recall was developed in the US and based on roads out of towns. With the idea that they would be replaced by good public transport. Applying such a theory to an inner city bridge that have had public transport removed is stretching it beyond reality. |
