Agreed Barbara. In the same way the car park and road next to the Isabella Plantation is limited to blue badge holders only. However, that couldn't be enforced with ANPR as these badges are linked to individuals not cars - I'm usually ferrying an elderly relative in a Zipcar so there's no way of linking the registration number to the badge number. The suggestion of closure to through traffic at certain times (7:30-9:30 am and 16:00-18:00?) seems a workable option while extending bus routes to, say, Roehampton and perhaps other gates, and having electic shuttles circulating within the park (free to blue badge and freedom pass holders only?). During the closure to through traffic perhaps allow vehicle entry but only to the nearest car park, at least for blue badge holders? Just some suggestions ... |
