| Yup, I came across a chap a couple of years back in Felsham road whilst on my way to work just as a neighbour was `lending` him £10 to help with car issue and `getting to work'. She was in a rush as was also going to work... so good time for a scam! I suspected a scam so asked the guy where he was trying to get to (which clearly threw him as he struggled to come up with his workplace) and then offered to walk with him to buy him a ticket at the mainline station. Haven't enjoyed myself so much for ages as he struggled to come up with plausible responses to my polite enquiries & casual chat. Left him on the train to Waterloo; he looked rather downbeat...as if he'd been taken for a ride ;) |
