| At the risk of tarring all blondes with the same brush (or being blonde-ist) the other week about 7:25am I was going to work early and walking up near Putney Bridge (SW side) when this blonde woman, with untidy hair came up from nowhere it seemed, jabbering at me that she’d locked herself out & urgently needed some money to get to work. I thought she wanted to borrow a mobile phone and tried to give her that but she just kept saying she had to get to work & just wanted money. She seemed to be indicating she lived in the big mansion blocks round the corner on LRR but would not take my suggestion of knocking on a neighbour’s door to borrow money from him/gain access. In the end she walked off as though I was being a nuisance with my suggestions but there was something odd about her insistence & her scruffiness, wearing a shabby coat/raincoat with no bag etc. Anyone else would have surely used the offer of a phone to ring their office etc. I wondered if she could be the same one. Just a thought… |
