| The black girl's evidently still at work. Rang the doorbell at about 1.30am this morning. Same story. Said she lived across the road, which seems like a risky tactic but in London you really never know who's moved in, so I didn't like to challenge. The recession must be kicking in though, she only asked for £7 rather than £10. I live in one of the river roads. Anyone else get her ringing their bell last night? Quite unnerving to have to open the door at that time of night. Difficult not to though in case you think a genuine neighbour is in trouble. No sign of accomplices as far as I could see though. For the record, she's late twenties. Well dressed, well spoken (no accent to speak of), quite attractive, looks very plausible and, in my case, didn't push any further when I declined to help. |
