Putting aside the double standards when it comes to international law. After all let's not hold our own governments to the same standard that we hold foreign governments - seems to be the mainstream point of view. And of course the simplification of war being always: good vs evil as opposed to between different levels of evil corrupt governments. As I said some time ago, it is very unlikely that the Gaza & Ukraine conflicts would result in settlements that were as good as those on the table in the past. The reality is that Ukraine are losing territory and more importantly a lot of people in this war. Oddly the main beneficiaries in this European war are China and the US (also Norway). Until we ban foreign influence in our media and politics we will not get a clear view of the situation in our media. As for : "We need Putin in front of the International Criminal Court to answer for his war crimes." Will you call the same for Blair and Netanyahu? Perhaps Starmer too regards to Gaza?? Such statements simplify the reality of war. War crimes are often carried out by both sides in conflicts. The real questions are will the extremist on both sides agree to this plan? and what are the alternatives?
