If MSF or anyone else wants to condemn the high death toll among civilians in Gaza, why not say so directly? Why use a word like genocide, which means the planned extermination of a whole race or nation, which is clearly not the case in Gaza. 100 000 Ukrainians, including thousands of civilians, have been killed. Is Russia guilty of genocide. 200 000 Russians been killed. Is Ukraine guilty of genocide? Coalition forces killed tens of thousands of civilians in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan. Is that genocide? Apparently not. Just Israel, it seems, is guilty of this terrible crime. Why? |
