I wonder if I'm alone in noticing the jams to Eastbound traffic along the LRR following the completion of the Putney Bridge works. They often now stretch from the bridge to just West of the Spencer Arms. Also, the traffic looking to turn onto that road from the residential side roads also causes those roads to back up. It may be that the phasing of the traffic lights controlling the flow in that direction at the bridge need to tweaked. Given the council only seems to be motivated by (perceived) environmental improvements or cyclist safety the current issues on LRR appear to be a detriment to both. (Motorists are of course to be discouraged so the inconvenience to drivers - part of Khan's masterplan - is an argument best left unsaid in favour of "Greta wouldn't like it"). |
