Absolutely right Lucille. It's very obvious that Justine has been moved because of her opposition to the third runway. It would have been so easy for her to keep schtum now and keep her position but good for her for sticking to her principles and the promise she made to the constituents who elected her, shame that the duplicitous Cameron coudn't stick to his own manifesto promise on this issue. I listened to Grant Schapps on SKY news this morning trying to skirt round the issue by claiming that the Tory policy had not changed but he also said the Government had an open mind about airport expansion and it was clear that they intended to forge ahead with it after this current term of office had ended. Boris has challenged Cameron to rule out a third runway at Heathrow after 2015, thank goodness we have Boris is on our side. Wake up and smell the coffee Cameron, Schapps et al...you won't have a new term of office in 2015. However, I shall continue to vote for Justine Greening as our MP because of her integrity and strong principles and in my (very humble) opinion she's destined for much greater things in her political future. |
