| Mr Brigo 'As you can never be bothered to publish your sources I have located it for you' And I have read it. 'PSR findings point to a Palestinian political landscape in transition. Hamas has lost substantial public support, while Marwan Barghouti emerges as the strongest potential presidential candidate and dissatisfaction with the existing leadership remains exceptionally high. At the same time, Palestinians increasingly question whether armed struggle has delivered meaningful results after the devastation of Gaza, contributing to a notable rise in support for negotiations. Yet this shift remains fragile: most Palestinians still oppose Hamas disarmament before full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, view settlement expansion as undermining the two-state solution, and remain deeply skeptical of both Palestinian and Israeli leadership. 5-8 September 2025' I have read it or at least the synopsis of it above. It is a Palestinian propaganda media site. Nothing wrong with that though as what most Palestinians say is to be taken with pinch of salt I doubt all is to believed. If it can be trusted, I am pleased to read - 'PSR findings point to a Palestinian political landscape in transition. Hamas has lost substantial public support'. Good. All they have achieved for the Palestinians is poverty and misery. 'dissatisfaction with the existing leadership remains exceptionally high' As one might have expected seeing what the leadership has achieved to their benefit. 'Marwan Barghouti emerges as the strongest potential presidential candidate' Hum. A terrorist imprisoned for murder of civilian Jews. Sort of leader any group of people would cry out for. 'At the same time, Palestinians increasingly question whether armed struggle has delivered meaningful results after the devastation of Gaza, contributing to a notable rise in support for negotiations.' At last they are coming to their senses. But why would Israel trust the word of terrorists committed to its annihilation ? (Have you read the Hamas Charter yet ?) And who have the Palestinians voted for to conduct negotiations on their behalf? 'Yet this shift remains fragile: most Palestinians still oppose Hamas disarmament before full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip' Why is that unless they still in their heart of hearts want it to attack Israel ? 'view settlement expansion as undermining the two-state solution, and remain deeply skeptical of both Palestinian and Israeli leadership.' Understandable. Just as Israelis are very sceptical of Palestinian leadership after October 2023 and rightly so. That being said I personally think Israel should engage more with a democratically elected Palestinian leader ship. But they should as Theodore Roosevelt wisely said “Speak softly and carry a big stick — you will go far.” |
