I doubt whether Starmer will be allowed to forget. I believe the objective is to make it "generic" so it can't be a process applied to any peer seriously misbehaving, not just Mandelson. Aside from Mandelson's email demeanor breaching the trust of the then Prime Minister (Gordon Brown), one wonders over the years how many other cabinet members may have breached the trust of their colleagues? |
