| It has been done before:- "The Titles Deprivation Act 1917 is an act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom which provided authority for enemies of the United Kingdom during the First World War to be deprived of their British peerages and royal titles." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Titles_Deprivation_Act_1917 And Lord Sempill in WW2 retained his title.
