| Steven it is not me that is being wilful obtuse but you. 1. To conflate "Death to the IDF" with "Death to Arabs" is obtuse because the IDF is an organisation but Arabs are people. If he'd said "Death to IDF soldiers" you might have had a case, but he didn't. 2. To claim that the meaning of "From the river to the sea" is clear to those who chant it is also wrong. As Amos Goldberg (Professor of Holocaust History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem) and Alon Confino (a professor of History and Jewish Studies at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst) write: "It is often maintained that the slogan ‘From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free’ expresses a genocidal and antisemitic intention. But this is generally not the case.
