Nick. Thanks for clearing up the point about the "acting" returning officer. I'm still intrigued as to how someone managed to operate a simple Excel spreadsheet correctly - surely all they have to do is to enter the correct values - and presumably have them checked by someone else for keying errors? I agree, we should be informed as to the nature of the error to avoid it happening again or elsewhere. Is the reluctance that it's too embarrassing for someone? |
