Hello Andy,
I am in two minds about the national service plan.
More than once have I thought that all those youths carrying knives, etc, could do with a dose of education and discipline.
I agree that this is not a generation like the one in the 50s just out of war. The generation who endured the war was a very strong and determined one...
But I am also rather unneasy as to what will happen in the near future, particularly regarding Russia, or should I say Putin?
Do I agree with the national service plan?  Not necessarily but I do think youth, not all but particularly those prone to be influenced by others, be they human or digital, could get a helping hand on how to think for themselves and not be influenced by others.
Vote for 16 year olds?  No, I do not agree with this.
