I live in Ashlone Road, and yesterday to my horror I found that one of the trees in our Street had been severed - no notice nothing!  It was alive and just finished blossoming.  There are some builders in the house, the tree was outside, so I wonder if they have organised for it to be taken down.  I have rung the Council but the tree man is unavailable (whatever that means!!).  I am assuming the trees are Council property but maybe they dont have to notify residents if they are being cut down.  Anybody had this experience ?
