I read that Wandsworth Council takes the unlawful felling of tress very seriously. I cannot agree.

Mature hardwood trees have been felled in the rear garden of 35 Keswick Road by an unscrupulous developer before seeking planning permission for the development of this property. Presumably the developer wants to tarmac over the garden for car parking spaces

Despite repeated verbal and written reports to the relevant department at Wandsworth Council over the last 9 months they seem unwilling to take any notice or action.

Photographic evidence has been submitted and the name of the contractor who felled the trees for the developer have been given to the council. The contractor who felled the trees even sold some of the wood to a local resident, who has kept it for evidence.

Keswick Road is in a Conservation Zone which appears to mean nothing to our elected Council.

What should we do ?
