Tim, yes, thank you, an interesting timeline. I moved to Putney in 1979 but have been familiar with the area since my student days in the early 70s and had friends in the area before moving here. Scary how it's changed in a few decades. Jane, I'm going to have to agree with Chantal on this one: in the 1980s De Montfords had a cafe upstairs at one time, it was about the only place in Putney High Street to get a cup of tea or coffee at that time. |
