My memories of 1980s Putney are of knitwear/knitting shops.  Jumpers were big (literally) in the 80s and there was a knitting shop in the row of shops on URR, E. Putney, opposite side to tube station. Does anyone remember the knitwear shop that used to be where the shoe shop now is, almost opposite Putney Post Office?  The jumpers were hand made and featured in the fashion pages. Can’t remember what it was called?
