Sewing Rooms in Lacy Road is really good - they have about everything you could think of in terms of haberdashery, patterns, some yarns for knitting etc. They also do alterations and custom makes, there is a Thursday "help session" option for if you need expert help on an issue with something you're making, and the staff are really knowledgable and helpful. They also have a fabric remnants table, everything £5/m - not great quality, but I've picked up some useful remnants to use for linings or mocking up a pattern with something cheap before I cut into the good stuff. |
