| Roy - it is not fully covered - there is an external roof terrace. You don't seem to have informed yourself of the scale of the proposal. The capacity is the equivalent of the 3 largest existing venues in Putney combined, and the equivalent of 10 average size pubs... all leaving at the same time in the same location in a street full of residential flats. I've lived in the High Street for 14 years, and yes, there is the occasional disturbance from drunks, usually associated with large crowds after football matches or other big events. Now and again, fine, that's part of living in any town. But every day, 7 days a week? And what is so progressive about a party shed where you can drink all day? I think they've been done before, and they all are pretty much the same.. overpriced fast food, overpriced drinks all served in cardboard or plastic. Sounds really innovative. The only thing different about this place is the size of it, I guess that's the sort of thing that gets certain people excited. Anyway, the fight's not over yet.. we do have some avenues to get this quashed or at least delayed for quite a long time. |
